Katherine Lee currently works as a Transportation Engineer (Civil) in Project Development Design at Caltrans District 6. With just under a year of time with Caltrans, she has taken part on various projects such as constructing interchanges, signalizing intersections, lane widenings, and constructing a sound wall, to name a few. Katherine is a Cal Poly at San Luis Obispo graduate with a BS in Civil Engineering and MS in Civil and Environmental Engineering. During her time at Cal Poly, she was involved in ITE for about 3 years with the Cal Poly ITE student chapter and within the Western District before getting involved with the Central California Section as their Secretary‐Treasurer. Some leadership roles that Katherine held in the past with the student organization include being secretary, president, summit organizer, and past president. Katherine became part of the ITE Central California Section officer board since 2022. Since then, she has served as the Section's secretary-treasurer, president, and section representative. Currently, she has been leading the efforts to work with ITE Western District to restructure the local section to provide the most benefits to all of our local members. ITE Central California Section officially became a chapter under ITE Northern California Section in early 2026.
